Call transcription setup
Configure recording coverage, review pricing and spending limits, and explicitly enable or pause transcription.
Where to find it
Open Account > Call review, then the section named in this guide.
Select campaigns and verify delivery
Open Call review > Transcription setup. Account administrator access is required. Select the campaign IDs that should be covered; Add campaign stages an ID but does not verify it exists.
In Connect recordings, review the destination and the instructions for your Five9 administrator. If no destination is prepared, ask Topline to prepare delivery. Use the exact displayed filename pattern and a pilot call; a saved destination is not proof that audio arrived. Use Choose a test call to check a registered recording and its transcript before automatic processing.
Review pricing and set a limit
Read the displayed customer transcription rate before Save setup: saving accepts that rate. Summaries and questions have their displayed provider-cost basis. Monthly spending limit (USD) covers audio, summaries, questions, and pending reservations. A zero limit blocks new paid processing. Missing pricing or unresolved charges are not zero cost.
Save, enable, or pause
- Review campaign selection, delivery blockers, and the spending limit.
- Choose Save setup. If transcription was enabled, changing setup uses Save changes and pause.
- Resolve the Before you enable blockers and verify the test call.
- Choose Enable call transcription explicitly when the saved setup is ready and you intend paid automatic processing.
- Use Pause transcription when automatic processing should stop.
Saving setup and enabling are different actions. Discard changes and refresh abandons unsaved edits; Refresh setup reloads saved status. If enablement is unavailable, fix the listed prerequisite rather than repeatedly saving or retrying.
Review usage
The Usage section separates processed audio, customer charges, reserved requests, and provider costs. Unknown or unpriced attempts require reconciliation; provider cost is not your invoice.
