Archive, restore, and delete workspaces
Understand archiving, restoration, dependency checks, and permanent deletion.
Where to find it
Open Apps & Workspaces and the workspace owner menu. Use Archived workspaces for restoration and permanent deletion.
Address: /projects/:projectId, /projects/archived. Open the saved resource from the product rather than typing this address.
Archive or restore
The owner can rename the workspace, change its symbol, or archive it. Archiving
removes it from active navigation without deleting its content or audit
history. Use /projects/archived to restore it.
Permanent deletion is a separate irreversible workflow. Topline first inventories apps, artifacts, chats, tasks, schedules, documents, skills, and other dependencies. Deletion remains blocked while dependencies or active work make it unsafe. When eligible, the operator must type the exact workspace name.
Before permanent deletion
- Open Archived workspaces and review the intended workspace.
- Inspect the dependency and active-work checks.
- Resolve the listed blockers through their owning pages.
- Review the permanent-deletion confirmation and type the exact workspace name only when you intend that outcome.
Archiving and deleting have different consequences. Do not use permanent deletion as a way to hide a workspace from navigation. If deletion is blocked, keep the preserved workspace and address the reported dependency.
