Coding agent details and task launch

Edit an agent configuration, inspect instructions and effective tools, and launch a ready task.

Where to find it

Open Account > Coding Agents and select the agent name.

Inspect the sections

Use the section map or Search to find Overview, Coding agent, Run Task, Activity, AGENTS.md, Effective Tools, or Resolved Skills, as applicable to this agent. Activity summarizes the agent; detailed run history belongs in Task Monitor.

Save configuration and instructions

Review Workspace, AGENTS.md path, Permission, Model, and Budget in Coding agent. Edit the AGENTS.md instructions content for the intended workflow, then choose Save. A non-coding system agent can instead expose System Prompt and Agent model; use the controls belonging to the selected type.

Inspect Effective Tools and Resolved Skills to see what the agent resolves, rather than assuming a saved prompt grants new tools. Recheck validates readiness after changes. Enable and Disable change whether the configured agent is enabled; they do not publish an app or delete historical output.

Start a task

In Run Task, enter a clear Task goal and choose Start task. The button requires the agent to be enabled and its connection online. That gate alone does not prove a fresh provider test. Run Test in Coding Agents, inspect its current readiness result, and resolve the displayed blocker before relying on task launch. Follow the task in its owning context and Task Monitor, including questions, approvals, and result verification.

Remove or recover

Delete is offered for eligible customer-managed agents; Topline-managed entries identify their management status. Removing the configuration does not remove previous source changes, tasks, or deployed artifacts. A failed request has Try again; inspect the current saved state before repeating a change.
