# SMS setup

Prepare company and consent details, submit an intake, and respond to review requests.

## Where to find it

Open **Account > SMS setup**.

Address: `/account/sms`.

## Start an intake

Choose **Start SMS setup** for the first program or **New program** for another. The intake has **Business**, **Messages**, **Consent & documents**, and **Review & submit** steps.

1. Enter the requested business details and use **Save & continue**.
2. In Messages, describe the messaging purpose and requested number/program details, then save and continue.
3. In Consent & documents, enter the requested evidence references and choose **Save & review**.
4. Review the saved intake, correct errors, and choose **Submit to Topline**.

Use evidence references in this intake. Identity documents, tax IDs, and signed documents belong in the approved secure collection route, not pasted into the form or chat. Saving an intake does not purchase a number, register a sender, sign an agreement, or enable sending.

## Follow review and readiness

**Draft** is saved work; **Topline review** means the submitted intake is being reviewed. **Changes needed** requires corrections to the existing intake. **Intake reviewed** is an intake outcome, not proof that carrier registration and sending are ready.

Open **Messaging status** and use **Refresh status** to inspect registration and readiness. Resolve requested changes and save before opening an agreement.

## Recover failed saves or submissions

Use **Retry save** or the submission retry offered by the page; entries are preserved. If another update caused a conflict, refresh or reopen the saved intake and review the latest values before resubmitting. Do not create a duplicate program to bypass a pending review.
