# Skill Library

Create or import skills, inspect files and versions, and review their read-only safeguards.

## Where to find it

Open **Account > Assistant > Skill Library**, then open a skill to inspect its files and versions.

Address: `/account/assistant?panel=skills`, `/account/skill-library/:skillId`. Open the saved resource from the product rather than typing this address.

## Create or import a skill

Use **Create with chat** to describe the repeatable workflow, purpose, constraints, and acceptance checks. To bring in an existing repository skill, choose **Import from GitHub**, enter **GitHub skill URL**, optionally set **Name**, choose **Capability**, and submit the import. Successful saves become active immediately.

**Search skills** matches name, goal, status, or capability. Use the status filters to narrow the list, then open an existing skill to inspect its current files and versions.

## Edit files and save a version

On skill detail, review **Name**, **Purpose**, and **Capability**. Select a **File**, then edit **Path** or **Content** for a customer-owned skill. Every skill needs a root **SKILL.md**. **Save changes** creates and activates a new version; it does not silently edit the old version. Topline-maintained skills are read-only.

## Restore or remove

In version history, **Restore vN** copies that version into a **new active version**. It does not reset the version counter or rewrite the historical version. Check the active version after restoration.

The library's **Delete** action removes the skill, its versions, and its bindings. Review where it is bound before confirming. Removing a workspace binding alone leaves the skill available in the library.

## Inspect safeguards

**Run safeguards** and **Allowed domains** show the skill's policy; these are read-only on the detail page, not editable permission controls. Inspect them before assigning the workflow. Use [Connected tools](/docs/connected-tools) to configure a connection's execution policies.
