# Scheduled Work

Find schedules and reminders, run work, and manage paused or failed items.

## Where to find it

Choose **Scheduled Work** in the main navigation.

Address: `/automations`.

## Find work

Use **All**, **Schedules**, **Reminders**, or **Sync schedules** to narrow the list. Search and focus filters distinguish active, paused, failed, or due work. Clear filters before assuming an item is missing.

Open a schedule's name for its [settings and history](/docs/schedule-details). The list's **Pause schedule** or **Resume schedule** control changes future recurrence. Reminders have their own [one-time workflow](/docs/reminders), including Fire now and cancellation.

## Create a schedule

1. Choose **Create > Schedule**.
2. Enter **Name** and choose **What should run**: **Written instructions** or **Saved task**.
3. For written work, enter **Instructions**. For a saved task, choose the supported task and review its **Options JSON** when needed.
4. Choose cadence and timezone in the schedule picker. This form has no separate first-run field.
5. Choose **Where results go** and, if using an existing conversation, select one offered by the **Conversation** picker.
6. Set **Notify me if it fails** as intended, then choose **Create schedule**.
7. Inspect the created schedule and next-run status. Creation does not prove an execution succeeded.

For example, name a daily reminder-style schedule “Morning follow-up”, enter a clear written instruction, select a daily time and timezone, and choose where its conversation result should appear. Confirm the saved timing and inspect the first result before relying on recurrence.

## Recovery

Correct invalid timing, missing instructions/task options, or an unavailable result conversation in the same form. A creation failure preserves the inputs for retry. When recurring work fails, pause future runs, inspect its latest result and source/credential blocker, correct the cause, and resume only after checking the intended work. Do not assume every schedule offers a manual Run now action.
