# Reminders

Create and operate one-time written work or a saved task, including result routing and cancellation.

## Where to find it

Open **Scheduled Work > Reminders**.

## Create a reminder

1. Choose **Create > Reminder**.
2. Enter **Name**, then choose **What should run**: Written instructions or Saved task.
3. Set the **At** date/time and **Timezone** in Schedule. Choose a future time; a local time that does not exist during a clock change is rejected.
4. Enter **Instructions**, or select the supported **Saved task** and its **Options JSON**.
5. Choose **Where results go**. If using an existing conversation, select one offered by the Conversation picker.
6. Set **Notify me if it fails** and choose **Create reminder**.
7. Confirm the reminder appears with its intended due time and status.

For example, use “Check the refreshed report” as a name and a precise written instruction, choose tomorrow's local time, and select the intended result conversation. A reminder executes its configured work; it is not merely a calendar label.

## Run or cancel

**Fire now** starts an eligible pending reminder immediately. **Cancel** prevents an uncompleted reminder from firing. Inspect pending versus past status and any result/error before starting another reminder for the same work. A failed operation can leave a saved reminder in place; refresh its status before retrying.

## Recovery

Correct an invalid due time, missing instructions, or unavailable conversation in the preserved form. Existing-conversation routing requires a valid picker selection. Inspect the saved result's conversation and source/credential error when execution fails. Canceling a reminder is not undoing work already executed.
