# Question assistance

Set involvement, response timing, explanations, task overrides, and learning scope.

## Where to find it

Open **Account > Question assistance**.

Address: `/account/question-assistance`.

## Set personal or task guidance

Choose **How involved would you like to be?**:

| Choice | Intended behavior |
| --- | --- |
| Handle the details | Choose reversible technical details for you. |
| Offer me choices | Show a recommendation and allow time for your answer. |
| Wait for my answers | Keep questions open until you respond. |

When available, set **Time before answering for me**, enter **Specific instructions**, and use **More options** for explanation detail, technical questions, business decisions, and saved-knowledge use. Business facts and approvals still require your answer.

Choose **Save my defaults** for personal defaults. A task-scoped form instead uses **Save for this task**; **Use my defaults** removes the task override when offered. Changing fields alone does not save. The question card's gear dialog uses **Save for this task** and **Make this my default** as separate destinations. Check the save message; a conflict requires reloading before saving again.

## Answer a live question

The live question appears in the composer. For a single question, choosing an option starts sending without a second confirmation. Use **Undo** while the hold is shown to cancel before submission; it lasts up to four seconds. To write your own, use **Or write your own response** and **Send**. **Answer for me** uses the recommendation when one exists, otherwise an explicit no-preference response.

**Why this?** explains the recommendation but does not pause a running countdown. Use **Pause** before reading if you need time. Selecting, writing, asking **Help me decide**, or interacting with the remember control can pause automatic answering. Use **Resume** only when ready. **Keep chatting** collapses the question card; it does not answer or cancel the question.

## Answer a set of questions

Selecting an option records it for that step; use **Next** to advance. **Answer for me** records and advances. Review the set before **Submit N answers**, which starts sending the collected responses. A recorded selection is not yet a submitted set.

Typed **Send** and **Submit N answers** use the same **Sending… > Undo** hold. Leaving the conversation can submit a held answer early, so use **Undo** to cancel instead of navigating away. Undo cancels only before submission; it does not roll back work after an answer has been submitted.

## History cards and learning

Older/history cards use labels such as **Write my own answer** and **Why this answer?**; their controls differ from the live composer. Do not assume the history card's confirmation sequence applies to a live option that starts sending when selected.

Where supported, **Remember this** offers **for me**, **for this task**, or **for everyone (shared)**. Personal guidance changes future personal behavior; task guidance stays with the task. Shared corrections follow review rather than silently becoming company policy. Choose the intended scope before submitting the correction.
