# Knowledge Base milestones and recovery

Review release and source milestones, diagnose stale content, and recover without losing draft work.

## Where to find it

Choose **Knowledge Bases** in the main navigation, open the collection, and select **Milestones**.

Address: `/knowledge-bases/:id`. Open the saved resource from the product rather than typing this address.

## Read Milestones

Open **Milestones** to review the current release, connection, source-sync, and update timestamps. This is a recent milestone summary rather than a complete event-by-event audit log. Use [Audit Log](/docs/audit-log) for recorded business events when you have access.

## Diagnose stale content

1. Check the live version in **Overview**.
2. Check the source or import job in **Content**.
3. Determine whether the new material is still in draft.
4. Review validation and retrieval tests in **Quality**.
5. Publish only the corrected, reviewed candidate and verify the relevant connection.

## Recover access or availability

Check whether the base is paused or archived and whether the consumer is still approved. Restoring an archived base preserves content and returns it as paused. Do not create a duplicate collection to work around an access or import failure.
